Simon Wilcox is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles. She has helped write songs for the "Bubblebath" EP, "Poppy.Computer", "Am I A Girl?" and the "Choke" EP.

Early Life

Simon was born in Hamilton, Ontario and later moved to Ottawa, Ontario. She began songwriting and singing in the 1990s and released her own original songs. She began writing for others in the early 2000s.


She has written multiple platinum and gold singles, working with artists such as Nick Jonas, Enrique Iglesias, Tinashe, Demi Lovato, Five Seconds of Summer, Britney Spears, Fifth Harmony and DNCE. Her songs have been used extensively in film and television.

Relationship With Poppy

Simon is one of Poppy's closest friends. So far, Simon has co-written songs on all of Poppy's music releases. In the credits of "Poppy.Computer", she is referred to as "Magic Simon" and is thanked "for being royal and for everything she has ever done". She embarked on a trip with Poppy and Titanic Sinclair to Japan for inspiration while "Am I A Girl?" was being written.[1]
