Simon Wilcox is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. She has helped write songs for the Bubblebath EP, Poppy.Computer, Am I a Girl? and the Choke EP.

Early Life

Wilcox was born in Hamilton, Ontario and later moved to Ottawa, Ontario. She began songwriting and singing in the 1990s and released her own original songs. She began writing for others in the early 2000s.

Career

She has written multiple platinum and gold singles, working with artists such as Nick Jonas, Enrique Iglesias, Tinashe, Demi Lovato, 5 Seconds of Summer, Britney Spears, Fifth Harmony and DNCE. Her songs have been used extensively in film and television.

Relationship with Poppy

Wilcox is one of Poppy's closest friends and knew her before the Poppy project began.[1] She is the owner of Wiggy, a dog who made an appearance in Poppy's video "This Is a Dog". In the credits of Poppy.Computer, she is referred to as "Magic Simon" and is thanked "for being royal and for everything she has ever done". She embarked on a trip to Japan with Poppy and Titanic Sinclair for inspiration while Am I a Girl? was being written.[2] She also voiced Phoebe in the Everybody Wants to Be Poppy webseries.
