Relationship with Poppy[]

Wilcox is one of Poppy's closest friends and knew her before the Poppy project began.[1] She is the owner of Wiggy, a dog who made an appearance in Poppy's video "This Is a Dog". In the credits of Poppy.Computer, she is referred to as "Magic Simon" and is thanked "for being royal and for everything she has ever done". She embarked on a trip to Japan with Poppy and Titanic Sinclair for inspiration while Am I a Girl? was being written.[2] She also voiced Phoebe in the Everybody Wants to Be Poppy webseries.

Simon Wilcox has helped co-write on almost every Poppy release to date, with the exception of I Disagree and Negative Spaces. After "Meat" was released, Wilcox did not collaborate with Poppy for almost a year and a half. She then returned to collaborating with Poppy with the release of "I Won't Be Home for Christmas". Wilcox also frequently sings backing vocals on several of Poppy's songs, such as "Church Outfit", "Chic Chick", "Flux" and "Lowlife".
